Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial Graveyard

The Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial Graveyard is a cemetery located in rural Colbert County, Alabama, USA, reserved specifically for the burial of coon dogs. Key Underwood established the cemetery on September 4, 1937 by burying his coon dog, Troop. Underwood chose the spot as it was previously a popular hunting camp. As of 2007 more than 185 dogs are buried at the cemetery.

Cedar Creek Reservoir (Alabama)

Cedar Creek Reservoir is a large reservoir located in Franklin County, Alabama along Cedar Creek. Cedar Creek Dam is 96-foot high earthen dam for flood control and irrigation, completed in 1979 as a project of the Tennessee Valley Authority. No hydroelectric power is generated here. The "cedar" in the name actually refers to the eastern juniper (Juniperus virginiana), mistaken by early European settlers for the Lebanon Cedar (Cedrus libani) referred to in the Bible.

WQPR is an American non-commercial educational radio station licensed to Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The station is owned by the University of Alabama, and is an affiliate of Alabama Public Radio, airing the network's programming consisting of news and talk programming, classical music, folk music, jazz, adult album alternative, and nostalgic music programs. The station's signal covers the northwestern corner of Alabama, extending eastward to Decatur.

Colbert County, Alabama

Colbert County is a county of the U.S. state of Alabama. Its name is in honor of brothers George and Levi Colbert, Chickasaw Indian chiefs. George Colbert operated a ferry across the Tennessee River in 1790 near present day Cherokee. The county seat of Colbert County is Tuscumbia. It is part of the Florence - Muscle Shoals Metropolitan Statistical Area known as "The Shoals". As of the 2010 census the county's population was 54,428.

Belgreen, Alabama

Belgreen is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Franklin County, Alabama, United States, located west of Russellville and around east of Red Bay on Alabama Highway 24. As of the 2010 census, its population was 129. Belgreen is a small district, composed of a condensed area of residency, the school, a small gas station, and a recently added car wash.
