Funter Bay
Funter Bay is a two-mile-long (3 km) bay on the western side of Admiralty Island near its northern tip, in the Alexander Archipelago of the U.S. state of Alaska. Couverden Island
Couverden Island is a small island located at the western entrance of Lynn Canal in Alaska. The first European to see it was Joseph Whidbey in 1794, master of the Discovery during George Vancouver's 1792-1794 exploration of the Pacific Northwest. The south point of the island was named by Vancouver Point Couverden, "which I called after the seat of my ancestors". The name was apparently later transferred to the island. The island is located in Haines Borough in southeastern Alaska.

SS Islander
The SS Islander was a 1519 ton, 240-foot steel hull, schooner-rigged twin-screw steamer, built in Scotland in 1888, and owned and operated by the Canadian Pacific Steam Navigation Company. She was built especially for the Inside Passage to Alaska and was reputedly the most luxurious steamer engaged on that run. As a consequence, she was favoured by many wealthy businessmen, speculators, bankers, railroad tycoons and the like who had a stake in the lucrative Klondike gold fields.

Coghlan Island
Coghlan Island is an island in the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska, United States. Located in Stephens Passage, it is 1.2 miles south of Fairhaven and 11 miles northwest of the city of Juneau. It was named in 1885 by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey for United States Navy officer Joseph Coghlan, who commanded the USS Adams during its survey of southeastern Alaska from 1883 to 1884.
