Mendenhall Valley

Mendenhall Valley (locally known as The Valley) is an area of Juneau in the U.S. state of Alaska. The valley, named for physicist and meteorologist Thomas Corwin Mendenhall, was formed by Mendenhall Glacier over the course of roughly three thousand years. It is the largest area of Juneau in terms of population.

Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park

Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park is a sports facility complex in Juneau, Alaska, and adjacent to Floyd Dryden Middle School. It was named after Richard James Adair and Jimmy Earl Kennedy, two Juneau Police Department officers who died in the line of duty on April 17, 1979.

Brotherhood Bridge

The Brotherhood Bridge is a road bridge in Juneau, Alaska. The bridge carries the Glacier Highway over the Mendenhall River, acting as a demarcation point of sorts between the urban and rural portions of mainland Juneau. The bridge was named in honor of the Alaska Native Brotherhood (ANB). It was designed by civil engineer Roy Peratrovich, Jr. , the son of Roy and Elizabeth Peratrovich, who were leaders in the ANB and counterpart Alaska Native Sisterhood.

Tolch Rock

Tolch Rock is a summit in the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska, United States. It is located 0.5 miles west of Mendenhall Lake and 10 miles northwest of the city of Juneau. The name was published by the United States Geological Survey in 1962 and entered into the Geographic Names Information System on March 31, 1981. Originally known as "Big Rock" it was named for W. T. Tolch in 1923, who brought the Boy Scouts of America to Juneau.
