Kohls Ranch, Arizona

Kohls Ranch is a small unincorporated community in Gila County, Arizona, United States, along State Route 260 near Payson. Adjacent to the east of Kohls Ranch is Camp Tontozona, the training camp for the Arizona State University football team. There are several cabins and a bar in the vicinity, as well as two Tonto National Forest campgrounds. The Arizona State University Geology Department also uses the Camp Tontozona facilities for its geology field camp.

Knoll Lake

Knoll Lake is part of the Blue Ridge Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest. It gets its name from a rocky island located in the middle of the lake. Knoll Lake is located in Leonard Canyon, Arizona, along the Mogollon Rim. This 75-acre lake is located at 7,340 feet elevation and is closed to visitors in the winter months. Bald eagles can be seen during the winter month's if the roads are open late into the season.
