Ink, Arkansas

Ink is a small unincorporated community in Polk County, Arkansas, United States. The elevation at Ink is 1033 feet. A popular and apocryphal story of how the town got its name in 1887 is one based on a misunderstanding. When the townsfolk were completing the government application to establish a post office, they interpreted the instruction "Write in ink" literally and entered the name "Ink" as the proposed town name. This was accepted as the official name.

Rich Mountain Community College

Rich Mountain Community College (RMCC) is a public two-year institution of higher learning located in Mena, Arkansas. Acorn High School is one of four public high schools located in Polk County and one of two high schools administered by the Ouachita River School District.
