Emerson, Arkansas
Emerson is a town in Columbia County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 359 at the 2000 census. Emerson derives its name from Reuben Logan Emerson, an early settler of Columbia County, who was a teacher, merchant, banker, owner of the newspaper The Columbia Banner, and state representative. In 1905, he also founded the city which today bears his name. Emerson celebrated its 100th birthday February 8, 2005.
