Amboy Crater

Amboy Crater and Lava Field is an extinct North American cinder cone type of volcano that rises above a 70-square-kilometer lava field in southern California. They are located in the Mojave Desert equidistant and about 75 miles between Barstow to the west and Needles to the east, and 2.5 miles southwest of historic U.S. Route 66, in San Bernardino County, California. Amboy Crater and Lava Field were designated the "Amboy Crater National Natural Landmark" in May, 1973.

California's 41st congressional district

California's 41st congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California that from 2003 to 2013 was based in San Bernardino County. The district encompassed the eastern region of the Greater Los Angeles Area known as the Inland Empire. It was anchored in Redlands, part of the San Bernardino metropolitan area, and included the cities of Loma Linda, Yucaipa, Victorville, Barstow, Highland and sections of San Bernardino.

Roy's Motel and Café

Roy's Motel and Café is a defunct motel, café, gas station, auto repair shop on the National Trails Highway of U.S. Route 66 in the Mojave Desert town of Amboy in San Bernardino County, California. The historic site is an example of roadside Mid-Century Modern Googie architecture. Roy's and the entire town of Amboy is presently owned and under the stewardship of a private preservationist.

Bristol Lake

Bristol Lake is a dry lake in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California, 42 km northeast of Twentynine Palms. Bristol Lake is located directly south of Amboy, California and U.S. Route 66, and is north of Cadiz, California. Amboy Crater and the Bullion Mountains are to the west, and Old Woman Mountains to the east. The lake is approximately 23 km long and 20 km at its widest point. A salt evaporator operation is situated on the dry lake bed just east of Amboy Road.
