Rancho Cañada del Corral

Rancho Cañada del Corral was a 8,876-acre Mexican land grant in present day Santa Barbara County, California given in 1841 by Governor Protem Manuel Jimeno to José Dolores Ortega. The name means "valley corral". The grant extended along the Pacific coast from José Francisco Ortega's Rancho Nuestra Señora del Refugio past El Capitán State Beach to Rancho Dos Pueblos, and extended up into the Santa Ynez Mountains along Corral Canyon and El Capitán Canyon.

Naples State Marine Conservation Area

Naples State Marine Conservation Area (SMCA) is a marine protected area that protects Naples Reef which is located about three-quarters of a mile offshore along the middle of the pristine and rural Gaviota Coast in Santa Barbara County on California’s south coast. The SMCA covers 2.58 square miles. The MPAs protects marine life by limiting the removal of wildlife from within its borders.

Rancho del Cielo

Rancho del Cielo, or "Sky's Ranch" or "Heaven's Ranch," is a 688-acre ranch located atop the Santa Ynez Mountain range northwest of Santa Barbara, California. It served as a vacation home for President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan. The ranch was originally named Rancho de los Picos after José Jesús Pico—a descendant of Santiago de la Cruz Pico who arrived with the Anza expedition in 1776—who homesteaded it and built the original adobe house in 1871.
