Encinitas is a coastal beach city in San Diego County, California. Located within Southern California, it is approximately 25 miles north of San Diego in North County and about 95 miles south of Los Angeles. La Paloma Theater

La Paloma is a historic Spanish Colonial Revival style movie theater in Encinitas, California. It was constructed in 1927-28 by Frank E. Brown, and the architect was Edward J. Baum. The La Paloma Theater formally opened on February 11, 1928, with a showing of the first "talking" motion picture in the San Dieguito area; the "The Cohens and Kelleys in Paris."
