Rancho Simi

Rancho Simi, also known as Rancho San José de Nuestra Senora de Altagarcia y Simi, was a 113,009-acre Spanish land grant in eastern Ventura and western Los Angeles counties given in 1795 to Francisco Javier Pico and his two brothers, Patricio Pico and Miguel Pico by Governor Diego de Borica. The name derives from Shimiji, the name of the Chumash village in the Simi Valley for thousands of years before the Spanish arrival.

Moorpark (train station)

The Moorpark Amtrak/Metrolink Station is an Amtrak and Metrolink rail station in the city of Moorpark, California. It is served by both Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to San Diego and Metrolink's Ventura County Line from Los Angeles Union Station to East Ventura. Five Pacific Surfliner trains serve the station daily and 16 Metrolink trains serve the station each weekday.
