Corning (Amtrak station)

The Corning, California Intermodal Transit Station is located at 1081 Solano Street in downtown Corning. When the facility opened in 1998, it began hosting four daily Amtrak Thruway Motorcoaches linking to and from Capitol Corridor and San Joaquin trains at Sacramento. It also became the home for a full service Greyhound ticket office and hosted Greyhound buses to the north and south.

Black Butte Lake

Black Butte Lake is an artificial lake located in Tehama and Glenn counties in California, USA. The lake was formed from Stony Creek in 1963 upon the completion of Black Butte Dam by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The dam is located approximately 9 miles west of Orland. At full pool, the lake is 7 miles long and has a shoreline of 40 miles and a surface area of 4,460 acres . The dam and lake were constructed for flood protection for local towns and agricultural lands.
