The Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area is a county park located in Irwindale, California, USA in the San Gabriel Valley and nestled among the gravel quarries in the area, many of which are currently inactive. The San Gabriels produce more gravel than most other mountains. The park is maintained and operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.

Azusa originally referred to the San Gabriel Valley and river, and likely derives from the Tongva place name Asuksagna.

It is bounded to the north by the San Gabriel Mountains, to the north and west by the cities of Bradbury and Monrovia, to the south by the city of Irwindale, and to the east by the cities of Irwindale and Azusa. Duarte is located on historic U.S. Route 66 which today follows Huntington Drive through the middle of the city.

The Irwindale Speedway is also located in the city, as is the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area near the San Gabriel River, and a plant of the Miller Brewing Company.
