Rancho San Jacinto Nuevo y Potrero
Rancho San Jacinto Nuevo y Potrero was a 48,861-acre Mexican land grant in present day Riverside County, California given in 1846 by Governor Pío Pico to Miguel Pedrorena. At the time of the US Patent, Rancho San Jacinto Nuevo y Potrero was a part of San Diego County. The County of Riverside was created by the California Legislature in 1893 by taking land from both San Bernardino and San Diego Counties. The grant encompassed present day Lake Perris.

Lake Perris
Lake Perris is an artificial lake completed in 1973. It is the southern terminus of the California State Water Project situated in a mountain-rimmed valley between Moreno Valley, and city of Perris in what is now the Lake Perris State Recreation Area. The park offers a variety of recreational activities. Because of this and the lake's proximity to major population centers, it is very crowded during the summer months.

Perris Auto Speedway
Perris Auto Speedway, also known as The PAS, is a 1/2 mile clay oval track located at 18700 Lake Perris Drive on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds in Perris, California. The track features a raised backstretch offering fans a better view over the infield of the oval. The track hosts USAC/CRA sprint cars, street stocks, dirt modifieds, and many others. It hosted the Turkey Night Grand Prix midget car race in 1996 and 2012. The track has also hosted the World of Outlaws and the Traxxas TORC Series.
