Loch Lomond (California)

Loch Lomond is a reservoir in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Lompico, California in Santa Cruz County, California. It was created by building a dam across the Newell Creek. The Dam is an earthfill barricade, 190 ft by 750 ft . It was completed in the Fall of 1960, impounded water first ran over the spillway in March 1963. The reservoir is 175 acres . It is 3 mi long, 0.25 mi wide, approximately 150 ft deep, with a 9,200 acre·ft capacity.

Zayante Creek

Zayante Creek is a 10.3-mile-long stream within the San Lorenzo River watershed in Santa Cruz County, California, United States. The U.S. government has designated Zayante Creek as impaired with respect to sediment. Lompico Creek, a tributary of Zayante Creek, is listed for impairment by pathogens. In the period 1998 to 2000 a restoration project was conducted for this stream to improve anadromous fish passage, rearing and spawning. There has been a permanent U.S.

Bean Creek

Bean Creek is a 9.1-mile-long stream that rises on the western slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains and discharges to Zayante Creek. This stream traverses relatively rugged, forested lands and is the locus of an important fossil bearing formation. Bethany University

Bethany University was a four-year private Christian university located in Scotts Valley, California in Santa Cruz County. It operated from 1919 until closing in 2011 and was endorsed by the Assemblies of God USA, a Pentecostal denomination, and was the denomination's oldest college at the time of its closure.
