Tulare County, California
Tulare County is a county located in the Central Valley of the U.S. state of California, south of Fresno. Sequoia National Park is located in the county, as are part of Kings Canyon National Park, in its northeast corner, and part of Mount Whitney, on its eastern border. As of the 2010 census, the population was 442,179, up from 368,021 at the 2000 census. Its county seat is Visalia. The county is named for Tulare Lake, once the largest freshwater lake west of the Great Lakes.
