Monta Vista, Cupertino, California
Monta Vista is an upper-income residential neighborhood in western Cupertino, California. "Monta Vista" does not mean anything in any language but is very similar to "Monte Vista," which means "mountain view" in Spanish. However, it is not affiliated with the nearby city of Mountain View. Orchards and vineyards used to cover Monta Vista. After the 1940s, Monta Vista became the first housing tract in the Cupertino area. Residential homes then quickly replaced the orchards and vineyards.

Monta Vista High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in the Silicon Valley city of Cupertino, California, USA. Monta Vista opened in 1969, offering only freshman and sophomore classes; the first class graduated in 1972. Since then, its student body size has averaged about 2400 students.

De Anza College is a 112-acre community college located in Cupertino, California. Simla Junction, California
Simla Junction is a historic location in Los Altos, California, near the area of present-day Homestead Road and Foothill Expressway. It does not appear on current maps. The name was used for a rail junction on the Peninsular Railroad which ran interurban cars along the San Francisco Bay Area's peninsula until sometime in the 1940s. There was a wye-junction at the locale. The original rail right-of-way moved to accommodate changes to road systems and water mains.
