The West pad, SLC-2W, has been used for Delta, Thor-Agena, and Delta II launches since 1966, and is still in service with the Delta II. Space Launch Complex 2 was originally part of Launch Complex 75.

Rancho Jesús María
Rancho Jesus Maria was a 42,185-acre Mexican land grant in present day northern Santa Barbara County, California given in 1837 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to Lucas Antonio Olivera and José Antonio Olivera. The grant extended along the Pacific coast from Shuman Canyon south to the Santa Ynez River, and encompassed present day Vandenberg Air Force Base.
