Jacinto, California

Jacinto is a small unincorporated community in Glenn County, California. Named for Jacinto Rodriques, who received a Mexican land grant in the area in 1844, it is located on the Sacramento River 11 miles east-northeast of Willows, at an elevation of 112 feet (34 m). A post office was established at Jacinto March 19, 1858 and operated until November 15, 1910. Jacinto was the home of Dr. Hugh J. Glenn, a prominent figure in California politics.

Rancho Llano Seco

Rancho Llano Seco was a 17,767-acre Mexican land grant in present day Butte County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pio Pico to Sebastian Keyser (Kayser). Llano Seco means "dry plains" in Spanish. The grant extended along the east bank of the Sacramento River south of present day Chico.

Rancho Jacinto was a 35,487-acre Mexican land grant in present day Glenn County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Jacinto Rodriguez. The grant extended along the west bank of the Sacramento River, and encompassed present day Ordbend, Bayliss, Jacinto and Glenn.
