San Leandro (BART station)

San Leandro is a Bay Area Rapid Transit station located near the downtown area of San Leandro, California. It is the busiest station in the city and is also one of the busiest in the East Bay. The station consists of two elevated side platforms with the concourse mezzanine at ground level. Service at this station began on September 11, 1972. This station is in BART District 3 and is represented by Bob Franklin.

Sobrante Park, Oakland, California

Sobrante Park is a neighborhood located in East Oakland, California, which is partially separated from the rest of the city by railroad tracks and industrial neighborhoods, with limited road access. It was built shortly after World War II, first as a White-Only Lockout and then gradually becoming a White flight red-zone in the mid to late 50's, and in the early 60's it became a working-class black neighborhood.

Brookfield Village, Oakland, California

Brookfield Village is an Oakland, California neighborhood located in East Oakland near Oakland International Airport. The main streets are 98th Avenue and Edes Avenue. It lies at an elevation of 20 feet (6 m). Brookfield Village was built during World War II in response to the influx of workers needed for the war industries, on land which had been zoned for industrial uses. It was one of the first suburban style tract house developments in Oakland.

Lake Chabot

Lake Chabot is a man-made lake covering 317 acres in Alameda County, California. Part of the lake lies within Oakland city limits, but most of it lies in unincorporated Castro Valley, just east of San Leandro. It was formed by the damming of San Leandro Creek.
