Florissant, Colorado, was named after Florissant, Missouri, the hometown of the founding family. Divide is a census-designated place and a U.S. Post Office in Teller County, Colorado, United States. The population as of the 2010 Census was 127. Ute Pass

Ute Pass (elevation 9,165 ft) is a mountain pass west of Colorado Springs, near Divide. The climate is arid, so many plants that grow here are adapted to low water usage. The pass at one time was used by stage coach and equestrian traffic. It is steep (7%) on the east side. The pass is traversed by U.S. Highway 24.
