Laramie-Poudre Tunnel

The Laramie-Poudre Tunnel is an early transmountain tunnel in the U.S. state of Colorado. The tunnel transfers water from the west side of the Laramie River basin, which drains to the North Platte River, to the east side Cache la Poudre River basin that drains to the South Platte River. The tunnel is about 11,500 feet long with variable diameters with a minimum diameter of about 5.3 feet .

Kinikinik, Colorado

Kinikinik is a small unincorporated community in western Larimer County, Colorado in the United States. It is located along State Highway 14 in the upper Poudre Canyon west of Fort Collins and on the east side of Cameron Pass. The community consists of a general store and neighboring summer mountain resorts and vacation homes. The main recreational activities include fishing in the Cache la Poudre River and hiking in the nearby mountains in the Roosevelt National Forest.

North Fork Cache la Poudre River

The North Fork Cache la Poudre River (locally called the North Fork) is a tributary of the Cache la Poudre River, approximately 59.2 miles long, in north central Colorado in the United States. It drains a mountainous area of north central Larimer County northwest of Fort Collins on the western side of the Laramie Foothills. It rises in remote northwestern Larimer County in the foothills of the Roosevelt National Forest east of the Medicine Bow Range.

West Branch Laramie River

West Branch Laramie River is a 6.0-mile-long tributary of the Laramie River in Larimer County, Colorado The river's source is Island Lake in the Rawah Wilderness. It flows through Carey Lake then northeast to a confluence with the Laramie River.

Sand Creek (Wyoming)

Sand Creek is a stream noted for the "most spectacular examples of cross-bedded sandstone and topple blocks in North America". Sand Creek flows from the Laramie Mountains in Larimer County, Colorado into Albany County, Wyoming where it joins the Laramie River. The area where Sand Creek crosses the border between Colorado and Wyoming was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1984.
