Hidden Lake is one of five villages located within the historic town of Haddam, Connecticut. It is governed by the bylaws of the Hidden Lake Association. Hidden Lake can be found on the Haddam USGS quad topo map. The latitude and longitude coordinates for this lake are 41.4220, -72.5687 and the altitude is 515 feet (157 meters). Millers Pond State Park

Millers Pond State Park is located off Foothills Road in Durham, Connecticut. The state park consists of 30 acres of pond and 170 acres of woodlands. Here, many residents and guests enjoy leisure activities such as fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and hunting. Miller's Pond gets its source of water from large springs, making great conditions to fish for trout and smallmouth bass.

Higganum

Higganum is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Haddam, a part of Middlesex County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 1,671 at the 2000 census. At about 1800, Higganum Village was the center of most economic activity in the town. The neighborhood had abundant water power, and Higganum Landing was a natural cove and river port. Higganum now encompasses the town's traditional village center and remains the shopping and civic center for Haddam.

Coginchaug Regional High School

Coginchaug Regional High School (C.R.H.S. ) is a public high school located in Durham, Connecticut named after the Coginchaug River. The school's principal is Mr. Hauser. As of 2010, the population was 165,676. As is the case with all eight of Connecticut's counties, there is now no county government, and no county seat.
