Penfield Reef
Penfield Reef is a partially submerged reef that extends a mile into Long Island Sound from the coast of Fairfield, Connecticut. The reef is one of the most dangerous areas of Long Island Sound and continues to menace boaters despite the presence of the Penfield Reef Lighthouse. The area was a peninsula a few centuries ago, gradually worn down to a series of islands and eventually to a shoal. Sand and stones collected from the reef for use as ballast on ships contributed to the rapid erosion.

Fairfield Community Theatre
Community Film Institute (2009–2011) (formerly known as the Fairfield Community Theatre Foundation in Fairfield, Connecticut, was a nonprofit organization that operated a 1920 movie theater in downtown Fairfield, presenting mostly independent and second-run films. Ticket and snack prices were kept low, partly because the theater was staffed almost entirely by volunteer teenagers and run partly on donations. The foundation ran several film-related programs for seniors, mothers and youth.

The Fairfield Metro-North station is the main train station in Fairfield, Connecticut, serving commuters, students of Fairfield University and Fairfield Prep, and casual travelers via the New Haven Line. It is one of three stations in the town; the others being Southport and Fairfield Metro Center. The station is the transfer point for the Fairfield University Shuttle.

Connecticut Audubon Society Birdcraft Museum and Sanctuary
The Connecticut Audubon Society Birdcraft Museum and Sanctuary, also known as Birdcraft Museum & Sanctuary or simply Birdcraft Sanctuary, in Fairfield, Connecticut is the oldest private songbird sanctuary in the United States. It was established in 1914 by Mabel Osgood Wright. The 6-acre site was originally planted as a refuge to attract, harbor and feed migratory and resident birds. The Audubon Society has documented sightings of more than 120 species of birds at this site.

Alumni Hall (Fairfield University)
Alumni Hall is a 2,479 seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Fairfield University located in Fairfield, Connecticut. The facility opened on December 5, 1959 and is one of the earliest prestressed concrete structures of its kind ever attempted. Engineering magazines from the time noted that the eleven 160-foot pre-cast arches used in the building’s construction were a record-breaking span for pre-cast arch ribs used in the United States.
