Northwest Park (Windsor)
Northwest Park is a municipally owned park in the town of Windsor, Connecticut, which includes walking trails, soccer fields and a nature center. Located in the Poquonock section of Windsor along the Farmington River, the park covers 473 acres of forests, fields and recreational areas. The Luddy/Taylor Connecticut Valley Tobacco Museum, dedicated to preserving the history of the tobacco industry in the lower Connecticut River valley, is located near the entrance of the park.

S1C reactor
The S1C reactor was a prototype naval reactor designed for the United States Navy to provide electricity generation and propulsion on warships. The S1C designation stands for: S = Submarine platform 1 = First generation core designed by the contractor C = Combustion Engineering (C-E) was the contracted designer This nuclear reactor was built in Windsor, Connecticut as a prototype for the experimental USS Tullibee (SSN-597) submarine, though that boat was in fact powered by a S2C reactor.

Windsor Locks (Amtrak station)
Windsor Locks is a train station in Windsor Locks, Connecticut located on the New Haven-Springfield Line. It is the northernmost Amtrak station in the State of Connecticut. It is merely a sheltered plexiglas platform. The Connecticut Department of Transportation has proposed that the planned new commuter service called the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield Commuter Rail Line stop there. The former Windsor Locks Passenger Station is a mile north of the current modern station.
