Indian Springs State Park

Indian Springs State Park is a 528 acre (2.14 km²) Georgia state park located near Jackson and Flovilla. The park is named for its several springs, which the Creek Indians used for centuries to heal the sick. The water from these springs is said to have a sulfur smell and taste. Indian Springs is thought to be the oldest state park in the nation. It was acquired from the Creek Indians by the state through the Treaty of Indian Springs (1825) and the Treaty of Washington (1826).

Plant Scherer

Robert W Scherer Power Plant is a coal-fired power plant at Juliette, Georgia, United States, just north of Macon, Georgia. The plant has four units, each producing 880 megawatts. It has two 1,001-foot chimneys, the first built in 1982 and the second in 1986. Plant Scherer is the fifth largest electric generating plant in the United States.

Tift College

Tift College was a private liberal arts women's college located in Forsyth, Georgia. Its 275-acre campus was situated 20 miles outside of Macon. The college was founded in 1849 as the Forsyth Female Collegiate Institute. It was renamed Monroe College in 1857 and became Bessie Tift College in 1907 in honor of an alumna. In 1898, it became affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Convention. The name was finally shortened to Tift College in 1956.

Burruss Correctional Training Center

The Burruss Correctional Training Center is a medium security level prison located in Forsyth, Georgia in Monroe County, Georgia. It opened in 1986, and consists of four buildings. The prison provides work and rehabilitation programs for general population inmates and operates a 148-bed inmate boot camp program. The facility houses Adult Male Felons And Juveniles. Inmates in the Burruss Boot Camp are not allowed Visitors or use of phones.
