Chattooga River (Alabama–Georgia)
The Chattooga River runs 64.4 miles through northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama in the United States. The river begins in Chattooga County, Georgia and flows into Weiss Lake on the Coosa River in Alabama. This river is one of two rivers named Chattooga in the state of Georgia. The other Chattooga River forms part of the boundary between Georgia and South Carolina.

Petty John's Cave
Pettijohn's Cave has a surveyed length of 31,490 feet and reaches a depth of 235 ft. It is located in Walker County, Georgia on the east side Pigeon Mountain in the Appalachian Plateaus of Northwest Georgia. The cave is accessed via a path from a gravel parking area on the side of the road. Out of the 242 listed it is 119th longest cave in the United States as declared by the Georgia Speleological Survey. Pettijohn's Cave is a very popular cave for local students and spelunkers.

Trion, Georgia
Trion is a town in Chattooga County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,993 at the 2000 census. The estimated population as of 2006 was 2,001. Trion is the second largest incorporation is Chattooga County, which has a population of approximately 27,000. Trion is known as the denim capital of the world because of the Mount Vernon (formerly Riegel) manufacturing plant, which employs about 4000 people. The Chattooga River flows through the town.

Trion City School District
The Trion City School District is a public school system located in Trion, Georgia. In February 1990, it fell victim to a devastating flood. This was considered the worst disaster Trion has experienced. In 1996, the Pre-K, Elementary and High schools were combined and relocated to 919 Allgood Street, Trion, Georgia. It serves students from Pre-K through twelfth grades. The school system accepts students living in Trion and surrounding counties.
