WAOS, "La Mejor", is a Spanish language, Regional Mexican talk radio, AM radio broadcaster licensed to the city Austell, Georgia in the Atlanta, Georgia radio market. The station is licensed to operate at a frequency of 1600 kHz. WAOS is considered a Class D AM broadcast facility by the Federal Communications Commission operating with 20,000 Watts of power during the daytime, and 67 Watts during nighttime both from a non-directional antenna.

Clarkdale, Georgia

Clarkdale is a small community west-northwest of Atlanta, Georgia in southwestern Cobb County, between Powder Springs and Austell. It is the hometown of Novelty and Country singer Ray Stevens. Clarkdale is an industrial mill village built in 1932 to support a spinning mill of the Clark Thread Company. Both the mill and the neighborhood, consisting of 98 dwellings, were designed by North Carolina architect Joseph Emory Sirrine.

WDWD ("AM 590 Radio Disney") is a Radio Disney affiliated station serving the metro Atlanta market. Its radio transmitter site, originally along North Druid Hills Road, is now located just north of Austell, Georgia, in west-northwest metro Atlanta. The station's signal is aimed by a four-tower directional antenna array from the Austell transmitter location towards Atlanta.
