SoNo (Atlanta)

SoNo is a sub-district of Downtown Atlanta, Georgia, just south of Midtown. The area was defined and named by Central Atlanta Progress in 2005 in order to better establish an identity for the area and give it a hipper image. SoNo refers to the area of Downtown bounded by North Avenue on the north, Central Park Place on the east and the Downtown Connector (Interstate-75/85) on the west and south.

Dutchtown High School (Hampton, Georgia)

Dutchtown High School is a public high school located north of Hampton, Georgia. It opened in August 2004. The principal is Dr. Terry Oats. The mascot is the bulldogs. Dutchtown High School is located in the Dutchtown settlement in the old Sixth Militia District of Henry County. Dutchtown was settled in the middle 19th Century by German (Deutsche) settlers. Their neighbors began to refer to the area as Dutchtown.

Battle of Lovejoy's Station

One Battle of Lovejoy's Station was fought on August 20, 1864, near what is now Lovejoy, Georgia, in Clayton County, during the Atlanta Campaign of the American Civil War. The two sides had arrived at something of a stalemate, with the Union army half-encircling Atlanta and the Confederate defenders staying behind their fortifications.

Lovejoy, Georgia

Lovejoy is a city in Clayton County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,495. During the American Civil War, it was named Lovejoy's Station, and was the site of the Battle of Lovejoy's Station during the Atlanta Campaign of 1864. During the 2000s, Lovejoy has been proposed by the Georgia Department of Transportation to be the endpoint of metro Atlanta's first commuter rail line.
