Butts County is a county located in the northern half of the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created on December 24, 1825. As of 2010, the population was 23,655. The 2011 Census Estimate showed a population of 23,504. The county seat is Jackson. The center of population of Georgia is an area in the northeastern portion of the county.
