Garden City, Georgia

Garden City is a city in Chatham County, Georgia, United States. It lies along the Savannah River just northwest of Savannah. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 8,778. Parts industrial and residential, the city is home to much of the heavy industry in Chatham County and also hosts the Port of Savannah, the flagship operation of the Georgia Ports Authority. Garden City is part of the Savannah Metropolitan Statistical Area.

WTKS (1290 AM, "NewsRadio 1290") is a radio station licensed to serve Savannah, Georgia. The station is owned by Clear Channel Communications and licensed to Capstar TX Limited Partnership. It airs a talk radio format. The station was assigned the WTKS call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on January 25, 2002.

Savannah (Amtrak station)

The Savannah Amtrak station is an Amtrak station in Savannah, Georgia. The station was built in 1962 to replace the older Savannah Union Station. Located at 2611 Seaboard Coastline Drive, the station consists of a terminal building on the east side of the north-south tracks, with a platform between the tracks.

Knoxboro Creek

The Knoxboro Creek is a 2.6-mile-long tributary of the Savannah River. It is located at the boundary between Effingham and Chatham counties in the Greater Savannah Area. The Tom Coleman Highway goes over Knoxboro Creek, one half of a mile south of the South Carolina-Georgia state border.
