Newnan High School

Newnan High School is a high school located in southwestern Coweta County, in Newnan, Georgia, just south of the Historic Downtown district. Newnan High School is the oldest of the three Coweta County high schools. Founded in 1918 as the first high school in Newnan, NHS was a Southern Accredited School by 1919 and has held the distinction ever since. Newnan High School has been a School of Excellence three times.

The Newnan Times-Herald, locally known as The Times-Herald, is a newspaper published in Newnan, Georgia. It was founded in 1866, which makes it the oldest news organization in Newnan and Coweta County, Georgia. It is a local newspaper and official legal organ for the community located about 30 miles south of Atlanta.
