Fort Hall

Fort Hall was established by Nathaniel Jarvis Wyeth, an inventor and businessman from Boston, Massachusetts, as a trading post on the Snake River in the eastern Oregon Country, part of southeastern Idaho in the present-day United States. He also established a post at Fort William, in present-day Portland, Oregon, as part of a plan for a new trading and fisheries company.

Portneuf River (Idaho)

The Portneuf River is a 124-mile-long tributary of the Snake River in southeastern Idaho in the United States. It drains a ranching and farming valley in the mountains southeast of the Snake River Plain. The city of Pocatello sits along the river near its emergence from the mountains onto the Snake River Plain. The river is part of the Columbia River Basin.
