Black Hawk County is a county located in the northeastern part of U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 131,090 in the 2010 census, an increase from 128,012 in 2000. Black Hawk County has the fourth largest population for counties in the state. The majority of the county's population resides in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls urbanized area. Waterloo, the county seat, is located approximately 65 miles east of I-35 at the intersection of U.S. Highways 20, 63 and 218.

Young Arena

Young Arena is a 3,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Waterloo, Iowa, United States, and was built in 1994. It is home to the Waterloo Black Hawks of the United States Hockey League, the Waterloo Warriors of the Midwest High School Hockey League, the Waterloo Youth Hockey Association, and the Cedar Valley Figure Skating Club. Young Arena has also hosted the NCAA Division III wrestling championships and occasional basketball games.

Crossroads Center is a shopping mall located in Waterloo, Iowa. It is the dominant shopping center in northeast Iowa with a trade area that extends more than 50 miles . The mall opened in 1970, and is owned by Jones Lang LaSalle. It is located in the heart of a retail hub that includes a 12 screen theater, Best Buy, Super Target, Super Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond and many other national tenants. The mall is located near the interchange of Interstate 380 and U.S. Highway 20.

Riverfront Stadium (Waterloo)

Riverfront Stadium is a stadium in Waterloo, Iowa. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Waterloo Bucks baseball team of the Northwoods League. It holds 5,000 people. Riverfront Stadium was built as Municipal Stadium in 1946. It was previously home to teams in the Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League (1946-1956) and the Midwest League (1958-1993) before the Bucks began playing here in 1995.
