Bonner Springs is a river city in Johnson, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte counties in the U.S. state of Kansas. It is a suburb in the Kansas City, Missouri Metropolitan Area. The vast majority of the city, which lies in Wyandotte County, is part of the "Unified Government" which contains Kansas City, Kansas, Bonner Springs, Edwardsville, and roughly a quarter of Lake Quivira. Schlitterbahn Vacation Village

Schlitterbahn Vacation Village is a resort complex that opened in summer 2009 in Kansas City, Kansas. It was announced in September 2005 by Schlitterbahn Waterparks. The 370-acre, $750 million development will include a nearly 40-acre waterpark, which will be Schlitterbahn's fourth waterpark and its first outside of the state of Texas. (In comparison, Oceans of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri occupies 60 acres.
