It is located in downtown Garden City along the BNSF Railway La Junta Subdivision. Garden City Station was originally built in 1907 by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and upon the restoration of 2002, was declared a historic landmark by the Finney County Preservation Alliance.

Garden City Community College (GCCC) is a fully accredited community college located in Garden City, Kansas, USA. GCCC has regional accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. K39FW was a television station in Garden City, Kansas. As a TBN owned-and-operated station, it was a repeater that broadcast programming from the Trinity Broadcasting Network, via satellite. The station broadcast its analog signal on UHF channel 39. K39FW left the air April 13, 2010. Its license, along with 43 other silent TBN repeaters, was canceled on December 1, 2011 for remaining silent over a year.
