Campbell County, Kentucky

Campbell County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It was formed on December 17, 1794, from sections of Scott, Harrison and Mason counties. As of 2010, the population was 90,336. Its county seats are Alexandria and Newport. The county is named for Colonel John Campbell (1735–1799), Revolutionary War soldier. It is part of the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky metropolitan area.
