Bell County, Kentucky
Bell County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It was formed August 1, 1867, from parts of Knox and Harlan Counties and augmented from Knox County in 1872. As of 2010 the population was 28,691. Its county seat is Pineville. The county is named for Joshua Fry Bell, and was originally called "Josh Bell" but shortened to "Bell" by 1880. Bell County is a dry county, meaning that the sale of alcohol is prohibited.

WRIL
WRIL is a radio station broadcasting a Top 40 music format to Southeast Kentucky, USA, parts of southwest Virginia as well as uppereast Tennessee. The city of license is Pineville, Kentucky. The station was put on the air by Bell County resident John McPherson. Other managers included Monty Macanally. Lester Adkins was a top DJ and sales person and Rick Nelson handled the sports from 1975 until the station went off the air in 2006.
