Although the school is within the city limits, it is served by the post office of the community of Cecilia, much of which has recently been annexed by "E-town". The last commercial flight took place in the late 1980s. Addington Field opened in 1982.

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) located in Elizabethtown, KY, is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). Glendale is an unincorporated community in Hardin County, Kentucky, United States. It is included in the Elizabethtown, Kentucky Metropolitan Statistical Area.
