Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care Center is a not-for-profit acute and long-term care hospital located in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. The facility primarily serves Rockcastle and surrounding counties with its 26-bed acute care facility, but receives referrals for its 93-bed ventilator facility nationwide. Lake Linville

Lake Linville is a 356-acre reservoir in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. It was created in 1968 by the construction of the earthen Renfro Dam, 72 feet high with a length of 1100 feet, owned and operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The dam is a highway fill embankment along Interstate 75.

Rockcastle County, founded in 1810, is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2010, the population was 17,056. Its county seat is Mt. Vernon. The county is named for the Rockcastle River which runs through it. The river, in turn, is named for its majestic rock cliffs.
