Boone Station

Boone Station (or Boone's Station) was a settlement in Kentucky, USA, and the home of Daniel Boone from 1779 to 1782. It was located on Boone's Creek in Fayette County, Kentucky, near present Athens which in Boone's era was called "Cross Plains". Boone moved there during the American Revolutionary War after having previously lived in Boonesborough, Kentucky. The new settlement, initially called "Boone's new station", was located on land settled in 1776 by Daniel's son Israel.

Boone's Creek Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, was organized in 1785 by Elders John Taylor and John Tanner with 18 original members. Prominent among the founders were Daniel Boone's brother Samuel with wife Sarah. Their aim is to spread the glory of God from their neighbors to the nations.
