Boone's Creek Baptist Church

Boone's Creek Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, was organized in 1785 by Elders John Taylor and John Tanner with 18 original members. Prominent among the founders were Daniel Boone's brother Samuel with wife Sarah. Their aim is to spread the glory of God from their neighbors to the nations. They do so by seeking to strengthen the people of God to share the gospel of God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Boone Station

Boone Station (or Boone's Station) was a settlement in Kentucky, USA, and the home of Daniel Boone from 1779 to 1782. It was located on Boone's Creek in Fayette County, Kentucky, near present Athens which in Boone's era was called "Cross Plains". Boone moved there during the American Revolutionary War after having previously lived in Boonesborough, Kentucky. The new settlement, initially called "Boone's new station", was located on land settled in 1776 by Daniel's son Israel.

WEKU (88.9 FM), is a National Public Radio-affiliated station in Richmond, Kentucky; serving nearby Lexington. Owned by Eastern Kentucky University, it primarily features NPR news and talk programming, along with classical music from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. at night. WEKU also operates satellite stations WEKH (90.9 FM) in Hazard, WEKF (88.5 FM) in Corbin and two translators in Barbourville (96.9 FM, W245AS) and Pikeville (95.1 FM, W251AI).

WVLK-FM is a radio station licensed to the community of Richmond, Kentucky, and serves the greater Lexington, Kentucky, area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and licensed to Cumulus Licensing LLC. It airs a News/Talk/Information format. This station is currently a simulcast of sister station WVLK-AM 590 KHz in Lexington. The station has been assigned these call letters by the Federal Communications Commission since May 23, 2007. Previously, sister country station WLXX held that callsign.
