Shawneetown Bridge

The Shawneetown Bridge is a cantilever truss bridge carrying Kentucky Route 56 and Illinois Route 13 across the Ohio River. The bridge connects Old Shawneetown, Illinois to rural Union County, Kentucky. The Shawneetown Bridge was featured in a scene in the movie U.S. Marshals. The movie's crash scene was filmed several miles downstream in Pope County, Illinois.

Old Shawneetown, Illinois

Old Shawneetown is a village in Gallatin County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 193. Located along the Ohio River, Shawneetown served as an important United States government administrative center for the Northwest Territory. The village was devastated by the Ohio River flood of 1937. The village's population was moved several miles inland to New Shawneetown.

Wabash River

The Wabash River /ˈwɔːbæʃ/ is a 503-mile-long river in the Midwestern United States that flows southwest from northwest Ohio near Fort Recovery across northern Indiana to southern Illinois, where it forms the Illinois-Indiana border before draining into the Ohio River, of which it is the largest northern tributary. From the dam near Huntington, Indiana to its terminus at the Ohio River, the Wabash flows freely for 411 miles .

John T. Myers Locks and Dam

The John T. Myers Locks and Dam is a United States Army Corps of Engineers facility on the Ohio River in Posey County, Indiana, and Union County, Kentucky. Formerly known as the Uniontown Locks and Dam, it was renamed by an act of Congress in 1996 (PL 104-303) as a tribute to recently retired Congressman John T. Myers.
