Knox County is a county located near the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2010, the population was 31,883. Its county seat is Barbourville. The county is named for General Henry Knox. It is a prohibition or dry county, with the exception of the portion of the city of Corbin that lies within Knox County.
