England Air Force Base

England Air Force Base (1942–1992) is a former United States Air Force base in Louisiana, located 5 miles Northwest of Alexandria and about 170 miles Northwest of New Orleans. Originally known as Alexandria Army Air Base, on 23 June 1955 the facility was renamed England Air Force Base in honor of Lt Col John Brooke England (1923–1954). The former base is now Alexandria International Airport.

Alexandria International Airport is a public use airport located four nautical miles west of the central business district of Alexandria, in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, United States. The airport is operated by the England Authority, also known as the England Economic and Industrial Development District, an independent political subdivision of the State of Louisiana. Despite its name, the airport has no scheduled international flights nor scheduled flights to cities near transborder areas.

KTTP is a radio station broadcasting a Gospel format. Licensed to Pineville, Louisiana, USA, the station serves the Alexandria area. The station is currently owned by Benjamin-Dane, LLC. Much of the programming is featured from the Rejoice! Musical Soul Food satellite feed. Because it shares the same frequerncy as "clear channel" station KFAB in Omaha, Nebraska, KTTP only operates during the daytime hours.

Rapides Parish Coliseum

The Rapides Parish Coliseum (often called the Rapides Coliseum, as noted on the sign out front) is a multi-purpose arena located in Alexandria, Louisiana. The coliseum can seat about 6,500 people in the 65,000-square-foot building. Additional space is in the smaller Exhibition Hall, also on the property.
