Battle of Bayou Bourbeux

The Battle of Bayou Bourbeux also known as the Battle of Grand Coteau or the Battle of Carrion Crow Bayou was fought in Southwestern Louisiana, west of the town of Grand Coteau, Louisiana during the American Civil War. The engagement was between the forces of Confederate Brigadier General Thomas Green and Union Brigadier General Stephen G. Burbridge.

KSMB (FM)

KSMB is a Top 40 (CHR) radio station in Lafayette, Louisiana owned by Cumulus Media. KSMB began broadcasting in 1964 as Lafayette's first FM station. By the 1970s, the station had established an Album Rock format as "K94 The Stereo Rock. " In late 1984, the format was gradually shifted from Album Rock to top 40, with a moniker change to "Hit Radio 94 ½" occurring in October. "Hit Radio" lasted until 1994, when the current brand name was adopted.
