Naval Air Station Brunswick

Naval Air Station Brunswick, also known as NAS Brunswick, was a military airport located 2 miles northeast of Brunswick, Maine. The base was home to a number of Navy-operated Maritime patrol aircraft. Before closing, the base continued to operate as part of its closing procedures while the airport was operating publicly under the name Brunswick Executive Airport. The base closed on May 31, 2011, as per the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure committee decision.

Brunswick Station is a census-designated place (CDP) within the town of Brunswick in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. The population was 578 at the 2010 census. It consists of area that was part of the former Naval Air Station Brunswick. The CDP is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Sebascodegan Island

Sebascodegan Island or Great Island is an island at the eastern edge of Casco Bay on the Gulf of Maine. It is a part of the town of Harpswell with the mainland portion of Harpswell to its west and Orr's Island and Bailey Island to its south. The town of Brunswick occupies the mainland to the north, and the towns of West Bath and Phippsburg occupy the mainland to the east, across the New Meadows River.

Bowdoin College

Bowdoin College /ˈboʊdɨn/, founded in 1794, is a private liberal arts college located in the coastal Maine town of Brunswick. The college enrolls approximately 1,700 students and has been coeducational since 1971. It offers 33 majors and 4 additional minors, and the student-faculty ratio is 9:1.
