Maine State Music Theatre

The Maine State Music Theatre is a performing arts organization based in Brunswick, Maine, United States. Founded in 1959 as the Brunswick Summer Playhouse, it became a non-profit in 1970. In 1988 it changed to the current name to reflect its growing area of patronage. Governor John R. McKernan recognized the organization that year for its longevity, as the number of Equity theatres in the state had dropped by half, and few theatres nationwide remained exclusively musical-based.

Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum

The Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum was the home of American Civil War general, Bowdoin College president, and Maine Governor Joshua L. Chamberlain for over 50 years. Located at the corner of Maine and Potter Streets in Brunswick, Maine, the house is now open to the public and is in the process of being restored as it was when Chamberlain lived there.
