Goose Pond Reservation
Goose Pond Reservation is a 112-acre nature preserve in Lee, Massachusetts and is managed by the Trustees of Reservations as a wilderness area. There are no trails around the shoreline as it is much too rocky, but the area can be accessed by boat from the nearby boat ramp. The reservation is adjacent to National Park Service land and is crossed by the Appalachian Trail.

The reservation consists of the hill and surrounding agricultural and pasture land.

October Mountain State Forest
October Mountain State Forest is a state forest in Lee, Massachusetts, U.S.A. The 16,500-acre forest, the largest state forest in Massachusetts, is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation with scenic trails leading to Schermerhorn Gorge. Herman Melville is reputed as having anointed the area as "October Mountain". His home in Pittsfield overlooks some of the hills. The forest came to state ownership via the estate of William C.

Lenox Dale is a village in Lenox, Massachusetts, United States at the border of the town of Lee, along the Housatonic River. It is a small village, but a village nonetheless with its own post office (zip code 01242), school, two stores, and a Catholic church. The main street in the town is Crystal Street. Crystal street got its name for the large amounts of crystals found in the area. In the earlier times, it depended upon the river to provide power for its paper mills.
