Monson High School

Monson High School is a school of about 400 students located in Monson, Massachusetts. Because the town's non-white population is less than 3%, Monson High School is one of Massachusetts' least diverse high schools. The school's construction started in 2000 and was finished in 2002. The Monson High School replaced the old Junior Senior High School which has now become Granite Valley Middle school. This is Monson's only high school and houses grades 9-12.

Conant Brook Dam

The Conant Brook Dam is located on Conant Brook in Monson, Massachusetts, about 7.4 miles upstream from the confluence of Conant Brook and the Quaboag River. It is approximately 15 miles east of Springfield, Massachusetts. Designed and constructed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, this dam substantially reduces flooding along the Quaboag, Chicopee, and Connecticut rivers. Construction of the project began in 1964 with completion in 1966 at a cost of US$2,950,530.
