Wachusett Regional High School (abbv. WRHS) is located in Holden, Massachusetts and services the Wachusett Regional School District. Founded in 1955, WRSD comprises Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland, and Sterling. William Beando was appointed principal as of July 1, 2007, succeeding the one year interim service of longtime principal Hal Lane, who had retired in 1993. Holden Christian Academy is a priviate Christian elementary and middle school located in Holden, Massachusetts. Grades served at Holden Christian Academy (HCA) include Preschool through 8th Grade. Quabbin Aqueduct
The Quabbin Aqueduct carries water from the Quabbin Reservoir to the Wachusett Reservoir. It is part of the Eastern Massachusetts public water supply system, maintained by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. At 25 miles in length, it is one of the longest aqueduct tunnels in the world being ⁄2 mile (0.8 km) shorter than the Hetch Hetchy Aqueduct.
